Even if you do not use YTunnel, the settings below will help you in the chatrooms
If you are setting up your YTunnel according to the directions at this website, please
know the YTunnel settings are dependent upon Messenger being set in this way.


To open Yahoo Preferences click
LOGIN at the top of Yahoo Messenger
OR right click Yahoo icon by system clock

Click each item in list
and uncheck ALL boxes below

Set Internet Connection Accordingly

IF you are NOT using YTunnel as of yet click the TOP circle to only receive messages from those already on your friends list and to stop porn bots or other unwanted messages (PMs) from others. Click ADD to add someone you want to permanently block from contacting you - you'll see their name in a chatroom, but will never see what they type or hear them on the microphone.
